I'm doing an LS6 recreation and had to bring my motor in for rebuild. I'm running an LS6 intake and carb but had Oval port heads. My engine builder said I had to have square ports. (altogether different topic)

Anyway, he found me a set of Chevy square ports for $800 so I said buy them.

Well the motors built and back home. I Pulled the valve covers off and they are LS6 heads.

Now I have a complete LS6 top end.

I'm pretty pleased with that surprise.

$800 for LS6 heads sound right?

75 75 / 788 Red with Red Buckets.

Rare with a reproduction cowl tag for proof.

Kind of a joke pertaining to bogus rarity since it's a recreation.

I found a set on E-bay at $1025 with 3 days left.

Are these $2K Heads? Dated F-70

Still trying to Figure out what they're really worth though. I'm watching an auction now for I-69 dated 4291's.

I think that may be L78 though... Same head but not sure when the LS6's came into production.

Mine are F-70

my buddy has a set that are feb 69 date code. his even have the word crane stamped on the intake face. this has to be rare. how many guys in 69 or 70 spent the money on head porting, when you could buy cars with 425 hp factory. almost had to be a old school bbc dragracer.
