I live about 35-40 Min. from Kittaning, Use to Jock at WACB. If someone needs me to look at it ...No problem. I will drive up in my SS 454 Sta. Wgn. If you are going to copy a window sticker, Use an old unit from the 60s-70s--- IBM Selectric typewriter you can change the ball with many different types of letter styles.
Looks like the paper work was done at Staples in the Mall.
Looks almost " Origional " to me. Bob

Saw this a year ago on eBay. Nice looking car but paperwork is some of the worst I've seen. :noway:

Paperwork looks great, could not have done better myself. Funny story. Last year I go and look at a 71 SS454 Monte. The buildsheet is not even close. Truly a pure fake. I call the guy out on it and he hand me a manilla envelope. Sure as hell, in at least 20 pieces is the original. He looks at me and says "any questions?"

Q: Do you have the real buildsheets and window sticker available? The two buidlsheets and window sticker shown in the listing are obvious reproductions. Is the air injection reactory system available and just not installed? Is an image of the trim tag that's not fuzzy available? Thank you for your time.
A: I just looked at the build sheets, they look original to me. they are laminated in plastic, fading, folding and minor soiling is evident on both of them. Window sticker, there are two versions included, both laminated, the black and white one appears original, the colored one likely a reproduction. The air injection reactory system is not included, sorry. I am uploading a close up of the trim tag to the ebay listing, and if you like I will send it to you directly, as you will be able to see it better. Please send me your email address if you would like the photo as an attachment. Please contact me if you have any additional questions. Thank you, Joe
that speaks volumes right there. Doesn't have the correct cylinder heads either along with a ton of other incorrect details.
Nice car,but price is reaching a "bit" IMHO and experience.I guess fully restored doesn't mean undercarriage. Typical dealer with a typical obfuscated description. Its probably worth less than half the asking price.

Same seller?
That I don't know. I do know I have photos dated June of last year.

Sellers always trump up something to explain that while they may be lying in their ad copy, they're not responsible for anything. Problem is they usually get caught. Ebay even puts the verbiage, "Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing." right up front.

I wrote and asked if he had two real buildsheets and not the reproductions shown in the ad. He said they look original to him. I wrote back with about a dozen things wrong on the sheets but haven't heard back since; probalby won't either. :D

I know the seller.
Good, bad, ? Certainly doesn't seem to know much about reproduction documentation for a $90K car.

I guess it might be possible, but build date of 12B? What do you think Dale?
That'd certainly put it towards the top of the list for earliest LS6. Certainly possible but not with that paperwork to back it up.

I like the touch of putting the original non AIR manifolds in the trunk. Must have stole that idea from BJ. :p

Well, it is definitely interesting to say the least. Without actually knowing how they come up with the coding on the cowl tag as far as body dates go, I'll tell you what I know for facts.
1. The date on the tag is the date the body was started to be built.
2. I have the build sheet for the first known LS6 from Atlanta, the body is 12C, and the date on the sheet is 12-15. That was a Monday.
3. The date on this fake sheet is 12-12, which would theoretically put it in 12B production, which is the date on the cowl tag.
4. Without a real build sheet, window sticker, POP etc. or a legit matching numbers part on the car, there's no way to prove what it is.
5. I see a green ID tag on the side of the trans. I do believe the original CY trans tag was yellow.

Therefore, COULD it be an LS6.... yes, possible. Chances it's a real LS6.... slim.
