Matt,
Only 2 dates of 437's used that font. That is the earliest known date and it has only been observed with that exact font style while the other date, also the latest known date for 70, used this font and the more conventional style. This different style font also shows up on other known limited run distributors such as some used for the Z28's.

Aside from having a special part number what exactly makes that distributor any more special than the points I pulled out of the '71? :confused:

IIRC from the 1970 chassis manual,advance curve and vacuum advance are different.

Cool. Thanks Les. Hard call, but IMO, if you're building a nice car, might as well restore it.
