I’ve been reading and gathering info on what I need for my build. Just need a confirmation before I start throwing money at it.
My build is a 1970 Cutlass post coupe using a 2007 Gen 4 DBW Vortec engine with its accessories, 4.8/4L60, e38 ecm with factory gutted harness. I had purchased a pedal for a 2007 truck but it couldn’t work with the A body. So now I read where a 2007 Monte Carlo pedal 15831256 will work and fit without modifications? Is this the pedal I should use ? Or the corvette pedal? Which one fits better without hacking it up?
As for mounting it into the car it looks like the Holley kit fits best. But to clear up things for my set up, will the forward mount kit along with the 302-2 or 3 pan work without the PS pump hitting the steering box?
Thanks in advance.

I had to change the power steering pump on my Gen 3 LS to the one inch smaller pulley from an S-10 and then run a one inch shorter serpentine belt.

Why couldn't you use the gas pedal and possibly the TAC module from the Gen 4 donor vehicle? It should work perfectly.

I'm running a two core Cold Case radiator with 1.25 inch tubes and no internal transmission cooler.

I got the engine and trans with computer/harness up to fuse box. Didn't see the vehicle it came from. The craigslist scammer sold me a 5.3, later to find out it is a 4.8. After I finish the build it will go up for sale. The dollars are adding up and I haven't started.

It’ll nickel and dime you to death lol, it’s worth it when you get done though. Until you decide you would like more power.

A big yes on the Holley swap stuff. I used a smaller diameter Dorman PS pulley to clear the box. I believe with the Holley mounts you can use the OEM AC pump but you may have to "massage " the frame a bit. I wish the Holley stuff was available when I did mine. I did use the -2 pan and it fit great.
