i live in Southern California (los angeles) where i would think it would be easy to find a shop to do a swap but to my surprise ive had no luck.
can someone please direct me to a friendly experienced shop that could help me out... thanks !!!

Have considered doing the swap yourself?
There are resources out on the internet concerning it, as well as a lot of people who have done the swap, so you'd be able to get a lot of help, guidance, and questions answered as you're doing the swap.
It would be a great learning experience for you also.

I'll be putting an LS engine in my '68. I've never swapped an LS engine into one of these cars, but I figure if other guys can do it, then I can do it.

Just something for you to think about.
