1970 Chevelle SS with the Turbo 400 and Edlebrock Thunder Series #1806.

All of a sudden I have lost my trans kick down and opening up of the carbs secondaries. Cables and all look good. Any ideas. Must be something simple (I hope) I am missing. Seems like less pedal travel but no broken parts.

Kickdown is electrically actuated by a switch on T400. Find out why the switch isn't activating and you'll probably find why the secondaries are not opening all the way.

Thought it odd that I lost both at the same time. How is the trans switch checked?

After pulling off the air cleaner I noticed alot of residue on the carb linkage. After finding it stiff I soaked the carb and linkage with GUMOUT. Low and behold we are good!

That was a cheap fix!!
