I have a 71 with a 454, I ordered the v8 frame mounts and 454 motor mounts from NPD and the motor mounts have quite abit of play when they are seated on the frame mounts, is this normal or should it be a tight fit? There was none on the frame when I got the car.

Do they say "made in India" on them?

Get the Energy Suspenson mounts in the "low and wide" style. There will be a little side clearance that is normal. If you use the current ones, be sure they are the interlocking ones to prevent separation/breakage with the torque of the 454. Ed

I just bought used (blasted and painted) BB frame mounts on ebay. look like new. Just saying I wouldn't by after market junk if I can help it. But will buy the energy suspension BB mounts which are tall and skinny. All this for my 71. The low and wide motor mounts are the 307 mounts and would have to use the taller frame mounts.
