I'm looking for a 64-70 Convertible that needs restoration. I see some on ebay, but most they want stupid money for and they are more or less done. I am not going back to original, and I want to do a lot of custom work on the interior, so I don't really want to get a car that's most of the way there.

I looked around here and didn't really see a want to buy section, unless it's buried behind the sales threads.

What do you guys suggest for finding this level of car? Like all of us, I want to get as good of a deal as possible.

Something like this, or a little nicer would be an example:

Thanks in advance, hope this is the right place for this...

Kevin,
I think you're on the right path, just keep in mind that verts are always going to bring more money than hardtop coupes. eBay is a great place to find out how much money people are willing to pay for a certain vehicle, regardless of how much the owner thinks its worth or how much extra money the owner wants to make. Craigslist is another great resource. Good luck.

www.craigslist.com is a much better alternative to Ebay. I've found a few reasonably priced Chevelle convertibles on there.
Yeah, but what market, all of them? That's the only thing I don't like about CL is that it's location specific, so you have to search by state and city specifically, unless I'm just an idiot about it, which is entirely possible.

Try CriagsHelper. You can search the entire country or a specific region. It's how I found my 67
