I'm looking for any info I can get on rebuilding a convertible top cylinder. Has anyone rebuilt any or is it just best to get new ones? It's a 1969 Malibu. Thanks

You don't actually say what is the reason for rebuild, but we'll assume leaking fluid. Did you ever try adding or changing the fluid in your system? Is the pump working properly? Is the cylinder trying to react when the buttons are used? Try pulling off the lines and test the pressure.

A company that repairs air brakes should be able to test and rebuild your cylinders. Or try an upholstery shop for more information.

It has new fluid, motor works fine, both cylinders leak at the top seal
