Wondering if a after market A/C kit will fit a tall valve cover - I seen this kit on bay but I am not sure if the compressor will clear my tall valve covers with the brackets they offer and supply? any suggestions or kits anyone know of that fit passenger side 71 Chevelle with tall valve covers?

Alan Grove makes brackets that will fit about any combo I've seen. I use his stuff on two of my cars. The brackets in the pic look a LOT like his stuff. I'd call the vendor and tell them you have tall valve covers they say they have options.

I've got tall valve covers on my BBC...installed a Vintage air. No probs with valve covers.

Check out my thread with pictures of a sbc with vintage air and alan grove brackets with tall valvecovers. you have to use the correct length belt or the A/C compressor and alternator will hit the valvecovers. there is still plenty of room for adjustment for tightning the belt with the kit! alan grove makes good stuff!
