I am painting my elco and when I removed the plate in the bed I found some rusting on the drivers side of the floor pan under where the storage box goes.

Will por15 seal this up??
Any suggestions short of replacing the floor section??

Thanks for all advice.

POR will work fine unless the metal's thickness has been reduced over a large area or the pinholes are to large for it to seal them.

Mine was so bad I had to replace a large portion on each side with good metal. Whatever you do though make sure the drain holes are functioning. The cover doesn't have to be sealed but the drains must allow water to escape.

I also had rust damage on the flange the cover bolts to. After repairing that I preped, primed and painted everthing before putting the cover back on.
