I have heard conflicting ideas as to the acceptable "window" for cast dates and assembly dates compared to build dates.
I would like to find out the correct information. Looking for a date that would be right. How long from casting before the engine is assembled then had much longer till build of car .Any help regarding this question is appreciated. Thank you in advance.....sg
p.s. working with a BB 1970

Still looking for your opinions on the "window" sounds like about 6 weeks for cast prior to build of car is most common so far but as long as its prior to car build it would be acceptable. I guess with the strike it will vary in the L78 I am dealing with ....sg
