Its in an ebay ad for an exhaust manifold with casting number 3909880. The ad says the date stamp says D29-70. But according to chevellstuff this casting was only made Jan-June of 67. Clearly there is a zero after that 7. Is that just how they were stamped or is there sumthin fishy goin on?

Exhaust manifolds are normally date coded in the form of a letter for the month (see table below), two numbers for the day and a single number for the year. For example, C259 indicates a date of March 25, 1969.

BTW ,that D doesn't look like a D to me and not sure if that 0 at the end is an actual 0.
