Got 64 chevelle 2 " drop spindles coil overs and tubular control arms with drag lite brakes and rotors.15 inch rim is what drag lites say I need. Really confused what tire and rim I can get away with.Cant even turn wheels with rims and tires on there now.....help

1st - Welcome to the group.
2nd - People are going to need a bunch more info to help out. Things like what backspace is the current wheel, what tire size, specs on your brakes from the manufacturer (some move the wheel position outward from stock locations requiring more backspace), ride height from stock (you said 2" drop spindles, but are the springs stock, lowering, different application [differing rates for SBC, BBC, and sometimes accessories]), and have you lightened the car or even added weight like a 8-71
As an example, my 64 El Camino has 01 LS brakes, coilovers set to about 2-3 inch drop, and I have 225/50/17 (wanted the tall sidewall to help fill the wheel wells) on a 7" wheel. It works with my back space (not same setup as you so actual backspace usable info) but I could have gone with a bigger tire and/or lower height if I had more backspace. My wheel choice did not have the backspacing I wanted/needed for a bigger tire so I had to compromise as I didn't want to change to a different wheel brand/style.
Just guessing without having much to go on but I'd say you need more backspace and/or narrower wheels & tires (likely backspace); no idea if you are trying to stuff something like a 275 up front, doubt it but without the info....
