Legendary 1966 dash pads, quality, color, etc

Looking a different dash pad to replace my repo pad that looks bad and fits bad, that was replaced in 1997. What’s the thoughts on the legendary pads?
First of all, what is the correct color, 729-A is the cowl tag interior code. I don’t know what that means regarding the dash pad color. Light blue, medium blue dark blue. I have an un-restored original metal dash in my garage and thinking about trying to match that color. I also have an original set of kick panels. Anyone know?
What do you guys feel about trying to find an original pad and having someone restore it? I would expect it to be difficult to find one.

Here are photos of my SS original dash pad and my Malibu reproduction das pad. Quite a difference.

That looks absolutely horrible! Hopefully someone will chime in with a positive review of the Legendary dash pad.
I got mine from Ausleys chevelle, its made by dashes direct and it is just like original but it only came in black. made in USA.If I needed another I would buy it again.
If it fits and looks good, a color change is not to difficult. I see dashes direct has 2 66 pads listed. One as vinyl and one as urethane. Different cost, there must be a difference.
Ausleys is where I got mine it is vinyl it 190 dollars now. It says it can be dyed. Like I said before I would buy it again.
Odd dashes direct sell two dash pads for 66,::I wonder which one Ausleys sells?
Legendary pad here, and I would buy again if need be.
I’ve never heard anything bad about Legendary. Probably best to go with the best of the best. Only $24 dollar for shipping. Anyone know when their next big sale, maybe July 4th.
