just wondering what are the larger CI small blocks around here?

who is running the biggest small block and what power numbers and times are you guys getting with them??

with today's aftermarket blocks there should be some impressive combos around..

have a freind with a 450ci sbc 235cc heads 252/260 solid roller good for 9s.
6 speed trans C4 street driven. Has a 100 or 200 shot on it I believe

I have a Bill Mitchell 427 sb crate engine.
Its rated for 520 hp and 495 ft/lbs.
Its out right now as i am doing a freshen to it, and an updraded solid roller.
Power numbers to follwo in a bit.

Shooting for 900+ HP naturally aspirated. We'll see.

I just pulled the 396 out of my '67, needed the weight while I was rebuilding the front suspension, that motor will be in a bag now, small blocks will run circles around that anchor.:yes:

after all is said and done, getting one of them crates in a car and driving is gonna be around 14,000 dollars.. assuming your going from traditional small block to that

I was back in MD this summer visiting some friends. While at the local car gathering I spotted a nice '69 Camaro with a 472 cube SB. I had to look twice and asked the owner if he got the numbers mixed up as I had seen many 427 small blocks. But this was a 472 cube small block from Shafiroff. It had a single Dominator on a sheet metal intake...it looked nice and sounded better.

nothing wrong with SB under 400ci for sure.. there are some killer 355 and 383 out there.. i was just thinking with todays after market blocks there must be some killer combos out here..

ive always considered myself a SB guy. had several BB over the years but always loved running my SB against a BB and beating them..didnt happen to often but it was fun...
