Looks fantastic. Just went through the entire post. If the Napa paint lacks the hardner in the can, how do you harden it then? I cant see spraying a coat of hardner is really going to work since it isnt thoroughly mixed with the paint. I assume you used a spray can with the duplicolor as well then?

Exactly. It never hardens. I had to strip the model down completely, re-tape it and re-shoot it with the Duplicolor blue. Came out great!

Thanks for the compliments, I have many hours into it.

I have to update this thread as I reached out to Kevin after seeing this thread just to see if he had any desire to make another model except to replicate my car this time. Fortunately because I have a 70 and he had enough left over parts, he decided to do one more and man, I couldn't be happier!!

Never thought I'd have a die-cast that very nearly matches my actual car!!

Thanks again Kevin!!! I hope you don't mind my posting the photos on here....

I really enjoyed working with you Eric. It's was fun to do and I appreciated your enthusiasim, patience, and generosity throughout the process. Even the less talented have pride in their work so I'm glad you're happy with how it came out. Love the display case. Maybe someday if I get down there, I can look you up and get to check out your car in person.
