i have some L2268 forged dome pistons, i need to know if they are open or closed chamber pistons? how many cc's should the heads for these pistons be?, and does anyone know the compression ratio on these pistons? , some help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I tried searching for a description and didn't find anything significant to use. If you look at the dome on the piston and it appears to be middle of the top of the piston it is likely closed chamber, the open chamber, depending on the size of the dome would be more half moon of the top of the piston if that makes sense. posting a pic would maybe help. FWIW, not an exact answer but hopefully it will help. Andy

They work in either open or closed chamber heads
11:1 nominal CR in a 107cc rect port closed chamber
10---10.25:1 with open chamber heads....OC chamber sizes vary
See 'fryntyr's "BBC Info" at the top of the ENGINE page....sometimes L2268 pistons hit the edge of the combustion chamber....minor clearance work sometimes needed, diagram found there
