Pulled the key warning switch from my steering column and the plastic housing for the 2 brass clips has disintegrated. Does anyone know a source for this part. I have been through my catalogs and come up empty.

Dan,
This is going to sound too simple, but try your local Chevy dealer. I am pretty sure those column parts were all the same for over 20 years. You will be surprised at how many of those types of parts are still available.

Did you find your key warning switch? If not, what year Chevelle and was the steering column a standard (non-adjustable) or was it a tilt?

I was able to locate it through a Corvette parts website. After ordering it I located it in my parts manual as GM part number 7804414.
Probably could have located it at a dealer.
Thanks for the help!
