I'm looking to buy a carpet cleaning extractor and was wondering if anybody has used the blue, Kent c-4 model. How well did it clean and do you own one? It does have a spinning scrubber bar.

Here is a link to a e-bay machine that I'm talking about.

Also any home shampoo mixing recipes would be great.

Thanks again,

You looking to go into the carpet cleaning business? That is a serious price tag for home use.

Can't say anything regarding that brand but we purchased a Bissel cleaner that works pretty darn good. Less than $200. Works better than the big Sears one we had, it was like dragging around a hugh shop vac. The Bissel is as easy to use as a vacuum and it does work. We have a Lab who is in and out of the house all the time. Five years old and she still hasn't learned to cleaned her feet when she comes in. :D

Well I got the carpet cleaner and it works better than any machine I have ever used, Ive rented allot over the years. This house is 3000 sf and no hard wood floors, its all carpet but the kitchen and mud room. It will be paid for the first time i use it, compared to the 600.00 the carpet cleaning people want to clean them one time. I might drum up some local houses for some side money, if they want me too.

Just wanted to pass along on how well the Kent machine is,

Thanks,

THe C4 carpet express machine is one of the best portable units out there, it far surpasses any of the rug doctor machines, yes I own one that I bought through home depot, will not use any other. if you are not sure of machine Home depot also rents them & that may be a great way to try machine for yourself before purchasing a unit

Any of the light commercial units will beat a homeowner special any day of the week. I don't have any carpet in my house right now, but am looking to buy a house soon, and will invest in a decent machine once I do. I actually could use one now anyway, as my truck's interior could use a good cleaning. Been putting off going to have it done, would rather use the money towards a machine, because I know it'll get dirty again soon enough.

Well as Fatlips son who just stumbled across this thread while looking for any tips on using this thing w/o bothering my popps, I can vouch for this thing being a beast. He has used it many times since buying it 9yrs ago and I just borrowed it to clean up our new nursery, we're getting ready for Fatlips grandchild to make a debut =D

Son found my old post here on the carpet machine, he is using it now on his carpets. The machine has been perfect, no issues what so ever. Family, friends have all used it with great results. Its been 9 years when I bought it, really saved some money.
