I did a complete frame off and looking back this car looked dirty! I had it sand blasted which really cleaned it up. I then repaired on the rust areas and did the undercoating of the car, meanwhile the body guy worked on the car. Once all the "tweaker" (im being mean, but it looked like some druggy went crazy with a drill) holes were filled and the firewall and dash was painted, I put the body back on and the rest is history. I went with garnet red, the lighting makes it look really red/orange in these pics. Once I get it back we are going retro and the black vinyl top is going back on!
Good memory Chad, that was my dad's thought when he gave me the car. When I told him about my life long dream of garnet, he about flipped and wanted torch. I got him to bite on le mans, but ultimately I wanted garnet since I was 16, so I worked some OT and there she is. I cant wait to offset the color with the vinyl top. I do want to thank everyone that has taken the time to answer all my dumb questions along the way, without them I would not be at this point (almost 5 months later) if not for everyone willing to help!
