I don't see retirement any time soon.... I love to work and as long as I'm able to I'll keep working (plus the money is good and my boss is really cool).

My job is pretty easy (except for the end user ID10T errors), and I only have to commute 8' to my office (except on rare occasions maybe every 2 or 3 months I have to go onsite to a client).

Yep, I'm happy with it and since the only person that pushes me, is me, I am able to pretty much do what I want, when I want (except right now), but my wife will be home in 1 week, so things will go back to normal and I can resume my other projects.

My company is already "sold" and I only have to make a call to the people who are buying it (when I'm ready), sign 4 papers (my attorney already drafted everything), and then I'm done.

My better half had to call yesterday to see if a trail was going to happen because she also just got the summons, she was told there wasn't any trials scheduled for August. Seems like everyone goes with plea deals now up here

You want to see the pissed off people you should have seen the ones that saw me walk out. This was gonna be a sequestered trial and although I didn't play stupid which BTW comes naturally it was about Digital Equipment Credit Union and I told them I couldn't be unbiased having once worked there. Judge aimed his eyes at me a said you can't give a fair unbiased judgement on this case and I said Nope, no way and the lawyers said we don't want him. To make matters worse it was Federal case and it was gonna be a long one. I felt bad but on the way back to the house and being summer I stopped by the yacht club, walked down to the boat and cracked open a cold one. Ahhh!

I always like setting in on trials myself and was juror on murder trial for five days one time (while my men ran the company).

The last time I got called I had to tell them that I was so hard of hearing that couldn't hear what they were saying and they said okay you can go then and haven't been called since.

Both my wife and me had to get called at least 8 times during our lifetime. If you were called for jury duty you had so many years before you could be called again and sure enough we got called again right after the time period expired. In all those times my wife was on one jury. I finally got a doctors note to be disqualified because of medical reasons and after my wife had a sezuire she got a disqualification too. In CT. after age 70 you can just refuse because of age. Pretty soon they'll do away with jury duty seeing they just let all the crimminals go.

I just don't go when I get a notice, its not sent registered here unless its a federal trial and they can't prove that I ever received the summons. I know all about the civic duty stuff, but my duty is to my family and I'm not missing work for it when they usually plead out anyway and its a wasted day or two.
