I was in a local junk yard in Phoenix over the weekend looking for some seat belts for my work truck and noticed at least two trucks with big blocks and they both had 781 heads on them. These trucks were the 73-81 years trucks. PM me if anyone wants the name of the yard. Also, anyone know where I can find seat belts for a 96 c2500 with bench seats? Dealer wants $200 for the female part of the seat belts and I was wondering if there is an after market supplier or cheaper oem. Everything in the bone yard was no good.

The LMC Trucks vendor does not look like they have the OEMs:

Looks like you might have to keep checking the yards. Google brought up this:

Can you provide a link to this law? I have seen seat belts sold out of the yards around here without anyone saying anything. Is it a recent change?

Maybe it's just a PA thing. I don't think it would apply to any older cars left in the yard. They also can't sell air bags

Some of the belts were cut. The others were either broken or just nasty and none were the right color. I will just get them from the dealer. Better safe than sorry. I am sticking my shoulder strap into the middle passenger buckle and the belt almost rides across my neck. Not very good. Thanks for the replies and I will check the company recommended here. I have heard the same about the belts having to be cut. Don't quite understand that one. If they are bad toss them. If they are good, use them. I bought some new leather bucket seats out of a Honda Odessy and the belts were cut on those. It was a handicap conversion.

can't you just swap the buckles that you have and go without a middle belt?

Must be a PA thing, ive never had a problem getting safety type parts like that here in MN. Not very often there is still a BBC sitting in a truck like that around here though.

The middle buckles are 2 in 1. Passenger would not have a buckle then.
have you checked to make sure that they aren't just stacked on top of each other and held in place with the bolt and the plastic sleeve? you could take the center buckle out and move it over to the driver's side position..
