There are numerous items on that car that are not correct for a 70 SS, but without documentation it's not going to be proven either way.

What you have to remember is back in the day. A 70 big block chevelle, you'd want to install ladder bars to get it to hook up better. even when I was in high school in 78-80 these things were bought and hot rodded, a sway bar was extra wieght you didn't need, so was the AC system, exhaust manifolds cast intakes, you just yanked them and tossed them. Nobody ever thought a 10 year old car was going to be worth so much. I had a freind in school who had a L78 70 chevelle that he rolled with about 90K on the clock. he sold the motor cowl air cleaner to pan for $350. the M22 went for $500 with all the pedals and changeover, I don't even think the rear sold because I saw it getting towed to the wrecking yard and it was still under the car.
