I think I am getting ready for a career change...I just don't see a future for myself at my current company, its a very very large corporation and Im not a large corporation kind of guy. Is there anyone here that is a business consultant? Its something that i have been interested in doing for several years now and there is a firm in LA that I may have an opportunity with.

What do you feel are the ups and downs? I know there can be long hours associated with it, especially when on a client job. What are your experiences?

Also anything else you may think of, please feel free.

Mike, Some consultants do quite a bit of traveling, not sure about the firm you are thinking about, but again, if travel is part of the job, many burn out from it. Personally I travel a lot and love it.
