That charger will work providing the battery isn't dead. However, with any charger, there always is the possibility of overcharging the battery if it doesn't regulate and cycle itself off and on. Some good information here about using a timer if long term storing a car. I went with the Battery Tender Plus trickle charger. There are a few companies that make battery maintainers that cycle on and off as the battery discharges and is fully charged. Sears has one for about $40.00 that works great.
