Not a trick carb, just the weenie 600 Holley...
Rear float/needle and seat stuck a few times, stalled-out after a WOT run.
Check both front and rear float levels.
Carry your "Holley Tool" with you (Rubber Mallet). A few sharp raps will unstick your needles and seats if you get stuck again.
You may want to disassemble, inspect, adjust. Blow out all the passages.
Does not matter if brand new or old....crud from the building process, metal shaving, gasket material....
Noted your pump, fuel lines, what fuel pressure?
