No, retired 2 1/2 years ago, but I do like to see stuff like Jeff says, he's getting double time. I love it, means more money in the old social security bank. All you guys and girls on overtime, yes yes yes, hang in there.
Another thing I might mention, I really believe that to be as happy as I am being retired, I think I must have hated the job I had. The other day I saw one of the guys I used to work with heading out towards the plant on a late friday afternoon, I thought for a minute, I wonder where he's going, then it dawned on me, he's been forced to work the third shift. I started to get sick to my stomach, then I told myself, hold on Rob, you don't have to go there anymore. Back when I was working, I told the receptionist at the doctors office, you know it seems like I am always in here, she said not really for my age. I haven't been to the doctor since I retired, not even a cold.
I retired a little early, but I've got this sure thing going to supplement my income, this chevelle you see, oh! nobodys ever heard of it.
The way this little money maker is going right now, I'll be in heavy clover by spring.
Let's see, I paid $8000.00
Will put in another $22,000.00 =$30,000.00
Sell on epay for $18,500.00 Hmm, something doesn't figure out right here, Must be old age.

I work for the local school system (Computer Tech), and I love days when there are no teachers to bother me while I work. I actually got to clean out my van today with any phone calls.

No, just a victim of the "new math" we learned in the 60's! Repeat after me (10 times): "I'm doing this because I like it, not for money". My 59 PU will probably be like that when I'm done. Enjoy your retirement while you can, my Dad is 81 and regreting that he didn't really do what he wanted after he retired when he could, always thinking he would do it "next year" because he had lots of time. Now 18 years later, he can't because of his and Mom's physical limitations.

Very good point Patrick. I was in a pharmacy looking for a birthday card, there was two older gentlemen sitting there waiting for prescriptions, one ask the other one what he had been up to, the guy said not much, so he ask him if he had any hobbies.
The other one said hobbies cost money, I felt pretty bad for the old guy. As a rule it takes a lot of cash to restore any car, plus you're challenged by what you have to repair or replace next. I really enjoy working on it and another big part of it is the free education thats available on this forum, and last but not least.
To be able to drink this beer and correspond with you people at two thirty in the morning, knowing that I don't have to get up and go to that stinkin job I used to have.
It's MILLER TIME

It is a ghost town here at the office this week and I am surfing thru the forums between model updates on my computer..... looking forward to a 3 day weekend and some time with the '70. Here in Houston, I try to get things done on the car in the winter time because the garage is just too darn hot in the summer (100+ with high humidity). This weekend should be about 70 degrees and sunny. Great car weather.

I'll be here for a while today.

Although yesterday was spent screwing off in Chicago. Started yesterday off just riding along with a friend to chicago to drop his brother off at O'hare airport and then picking up a couple floor panels for my chevelle, be back by early afternoon.

Ended up at the top of the worlds tallest building, the sears tower. Went to soldier field, ran thru the museums, stopped off quickly at Navy pier..........

Got back really late.

I love days like those. My wife says she isn't surprised at all, my buddy and I can turn the simplest task into quite an adventure. Thats when you know you have a true friend.
