I had been tracking and bidding on an item on ebay for three days and was down to the last three minutes of bidding. The item I was bidding on
(a steering wheel trim button for a boat) had gone up to $23. I had previously placed my maximum bid at $22.50, had $28.85 keyed in to the increase bid column and was timing the last few seconds. I hit the button and the screen went gray. I couldn''t believe my eyes. My internet service had gone kaput. I am still pissed off about it. Time Warner is absolutely the worst money scamming organization I have ever seen. Their customer service number continuously hangs up on you and they could give a crap as they are the only game in town. These contracts where they are are guaranteed exclusiveity in an area must cease and desist. Time Warner sucks.

About the same thing happened to me yesterday, I had a big reply typed up and hit submit only to see -> connection failed.

Kansas City Road runner was not working a couple of times yesterday for me.
I kept trying to reset my router and modem and finally just gave up, shut everything down and watched Golden Girls.

Go to www.esnipe.com for automatic bidding. I've used it for years, it's never burped on me. My secret snipe bids are occassionally too low to win, but that's OK, cuz that was my maximum bid when I had a calm head.

I have Verizon Aircard "broaband" which is the slowest, most unreliable isp that I have ever had. And it comes with a 2 year contract. I cannot wait to go back to a dialup! It takes a couple minutes to load some web pages some days. Watching a video takes patience, as it runs typically for 2 seconds and pauses for 2 to 8 seconds. I usually let it run while I do other things and then hit the replay. With this speed, trying to get a last second bid on ebay is impossible. Sure wish DSL were available here.

Same here, mine works nearly flawlessly. I actually find that for some reason or another, playing the game call of duty 4 online screws up my connection the most. If I stay away from that game, my connection is flawless. Not sure what it is about COD4

What computer are you using? I would lag playing World of Warcraft with my P4, now that I have a quad core, no more lag.

well they might be bad, but noone was as bad as "Adalphia", remember they stole millions if not billions (probly millions) the father son duo. imagine if that was your isp and poof, they are insolvent one day.
