Just wondering if there is any special way of making the bucket seat chrom and the chrome end caps stick or just hold in place on the buckets. The chrome strips fit on fine but if i bump them it sometimes will lift from that spot. Also the end caps fall off any time i touch them. I just put the buckets together yesterday so maybe i should give them time? Any info would be great. Oh yeah last thing how do you get the seat back button to go in all the way. Mine is in but it has about a 1/2 inch gap in between the plasic and the button.

well I am by no means an expert, but I don't think 1970 uses those end caps (bullets), I remember them on 69s for sure, maybe 68. I got the chrome trim and seat backs from year one, and didnt have problems. I suppose you could use some kind of adhesive on them, but I dont think the factory did

Well that sure would explain it. It just seems like there is a place for them. Where the chrome stops there is a little arrowhead type thing that looks like it should be covered with them? Guess not though?

They do go on 70's as well. Just keep working them. Alittle clear GOOP automotive adhesive will do. I assume your bottoms & backs are repro. These seem to have problems fitting.

The back button on mine goes in has a small gap but you have to really hit the button right to release the seat. I'm however still in the process of doing the seats so I still have a few bugs to work out.

The seat backs are actually original. And if you figure out how to get the seat button to sit snug please let me know.
