Okay my 66 is wired and I have insulated the firewall, floor and roof,I am now ready to intall my interior kit. Seats have been done for months and are in my den with carpet, side panels etc. Should the carpet come first or the side panels?
I always have the headliner installed last.

If I remember correctly, I installed my carpeting, then rear side panels, back seat, front seats and then front door panels but....I had my headliner and sail panels installed first. Why do you wait till last?

I would guess that's just a matter of the installer's preference. I asked the same question at the shop that did my headliner. He wanted the seats installed...claims he wouldn't have to reach up so far over his head.
