I wondered if anyone can help me on this one. Have a 454 that has been decked and the heads milled. Manifold has been cut and is true. When I put the manifold on(used the good felpro gaskets) car smoked. Pulled the manifold and you can see where it was sucking oil. Never have had this problem before(but never had a motor that was decked and heads milled, have had either or). I have a thicker set of gaskets but wondered if there was a gasket # someone had used worked.

Eddie,
This is usually a trial and error deal, there are too many variables from engine to engine. You might have to mill the manifold more or to a different angle. Start out by putting the manifold on with no gaskets and try to get down with your chin on the radiator and look to see how it lines up. Look to see if it is at the same angle as the heads, if not it needs to be cut to match them. Also, make sure the manifold ends are not bottoming out and holding the manifold up from the block. Did you use rtv on the ends (front and back) ? The gasket will normally not work if anything has been machined. You are just going to have to take your time and look at it real close to see where the misalignment is, then do what it takes to correct it.
