We just got a El'Camino needs allot of work and the seats in it are electric that arent hooked up and are for a Caprice, and in the future I was thinky of finding some nice Junk yard ones and putting them in, what is all required, can you just bolt them in the old holes are all chevy seat mounts the same??

Thanks

junkyard what?buckets, bench, out of what? most vehicles have different floor pans hence they have different widths and lengths for the rails attaching them to the floor, measure your holes in the floor and take that to the junk yard with you and measure the rails on the bottom of the seats you find, buckets into a bench vehicle will require new holes in the floor pan and probably some kinda small block to level the seats out.hope this helps, maybe some one else has a better idea.

Don't know if all Chevy seats are the same, but just a warning; if you need to drill new holes for seat mounting, be sure to reinforce the floorpan where you do. The floorpan will fatigue and crack if the seat is just bolted to it. This could be dangerous. If you think about it, the seat gets ALOT of force when you accelerate hard.
If it wasn't originally a bucket seat car, the original type reinforcements are available in most catalogues.
