I have a 70 chevelle convertable. I have a complete with wiring pwr lock set up. Where do you mount the solonoid and how do you connect it to the rod. Thanks

Are these GM power locks? If so the solenoids attach to the door close to the striker plate. You'll see three dimples towards the bottom of the door. That's where the solendoid mounts.
The solenoid rod attaches to the striker lock arm. There should be a key hole close to where the manual lock knob attaches.

Thanks Chevl71 . It was exactly what you said it was. I found the three dimples on the end of the door and they matched the pwr lock solonoid perfectly and the rod fit on an existing hole. Thanks again and thanks to this web sight, it makes it so easy to get help on a restoration.
