on a '66 hardtop.
but i need help installing the rear panels.
when i pulled the old ones out two years ago (in several pieces), i really couldnt take note on how they were installed. i kept them though.
im looking at my new ones, and i know i must cut out the holes for the arm rests and window crank.
but there is quite a bit of extra vinyl material sticking off the front and rear edges about an inch. there are a few holes in certain places through the extra vinyl edges.
im wondering how i should set it, cut it, wrap it, however its supposed to be.

im guessing some windlace is supposed to go on the edge of the door jamb, possibly holding/snugging up to the rear panel?

thanks for any help you can give me.

I just replace the rear panels. I wrapped the extra in the back around the panel. For the front, the windlace covered mine up. If you decide to not wrap the back and leave the extra alone, the seat will cover it up.

You mount the rear panel leaving the extra inch free in the front. Once it's in place you glue the vinyl to the flange. It folds over the flange and glues on both sides of the flange. Cover this with your windlace.
Thats how my original panels were in my 67.
