This is what i have done so far i bought the dash then bought the 70 ss wire harness so it would match i exchanged 71 parts for 70 parts then i mounted it to the the car i wired the dash up before i put the dash in the car. I then put the dash in i wired the coulum up and hocked up the vacum lines i have one more set to go then it is complete..... The problem is how do i now if i did not put wires on backword such as the the brake light senor the hock can go on either way also any other advice would be helpful thanks

on the brake light if its on wrong it prolly wont work..

maybe thats whats wrong with mine, i did this switch today and my tach isnt going past 4 grand, no fuel or oil guage, no high beam indicator, no brake light, speedo is 10 over and goes nuts after 70 mpg...

I should have just got digital or autometer gauges...

Well your speedo problem is not related to the wiring. Try greasing the cable and it should solve the problem. The brake light switch can go either way. The rest of the plugs can really only go on one way.

i have a wire that i do not know what it goes to it is 5 wires that go in to a t plug the wire colors are a thick and thin orange wires (they go togther) a light blue , a yellow and a brown so far i left it alone I also have a orange grey white wires near near the colum its a three plug
