Indicator light problem ... non-conventional ...

70 Chevelle, sweep speedo dash. Briefly, the right/left indicators work fine, but the hazards are screwy on the right side. both interior and the parking light. Also, when the headlights are on (and the dash lights) the left dash indicator lights up, but not outside (parking light or brake) ...

Any ideas would be helpful. I committed myself to fixing this problem so the dash has been ripped out to track down the problem ... im thinking ground somewhere. All the indicator/flasher units have been replaced too.

Ideas?

Left indicator: Everything works fine
Right Indicator: Everything works fine
Hazards: Left (driver side) works, right (passenger) does not
Headlights On: Left dash indicator stays lit

Well I guess its good that its definitely a ground prob. I couldnt think of what else it would be.

Right now the dash is out of the car, so these problems persist without having the dash's grounds available, so I will be focusing on the wiring harness grounds. Where are they? I spent some time on my back tracing wires and its wasnt overly obvious.

Also, there are a whole bunch of chopped wires in my car (uh oh) that seem to come from nowhere and go no where, but they connect into another piece that goes through the firewall right behind the glovebox (thereabouts). Im thinking this might be one of the problems, if not just another problem I have to be aware of. So, do any of you guys have a resource for good wiring diagrams/schematics. There are lots on the internet but I want to make sure I get a good one.

Hopefully I can fix these problems before it makes more sense to just redo ALL the wiring ... ugh.

Thanks guys
