But, I don't wanna sell it. Life got in the way soon after I bought it, and I just never tore into it completely. Now that the kids are raised and gone, I have a little more funds/time to play with it. Thought I'd start tinkering with it again, and this is the first surprise I found. It's held up well overall, actually, sitting in a dry garage all these years. It's not near as rusted out as I thought it was. It'll never be a concourse resto, but it can be fun to play with.

Can so relate, bought mine back in 07 as a basket case and still haven't driven it. Working long hours/ and kids. Plus I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with it.
I finally pulled mine out of the corner 3 years ago for her fun but stressful restoration.
Welcome back.

I just popped open the pumpkin for the first time after...what...almost 20 years sittin' in my garage?
Sorry. I been busy. Now that the kids are grown up and moved out, maybe I can get back to it.
'68 Malibu, btw.
Nothing wrong with that, looks like the new Richmond speed gears, lol. One thing for sure it will be a quiet gear set.

ive got some more bad news for you. You are also missing a few parts from the front of your 68. When it rains it pours. Welcome back. (y)

Well...aren't you a ray of sunshine? First I find out my punkin is hollow, and then you tell me stuff is missing up front as well. Looks like I'll be missing this weekend's car show after all. :(

I remember when I was 16 years old and Dad handed me the Keys to his new 68 300 Deluxe Chevelle
and said go fill up the car from the Farm Gas Tank with the Hand Pump
unfortunately it was only a 307 with a Power Glide

What Engine in it and what Trany are you going to put in it etc ?

2000, 2001. New fenders and core support. Soon after, 9/11 happened, three little ones, and life got complicated. She would sit like this for 20 years.
Welcome Back,Family is way more important than our cars.Considering the projects that are available out there nowadays you are way ahead of all that nonsense.Looking forward to seeing your buildup thread.
