Either my switch is hosed or I am hosed. I cannot get the tumbler out of my ignition switch. I turned the key to the "ACC" position and inserted a pin but it wont push in. I tried every switch position and had no luck. Am I missing something???
Well, I tried for over an hour and no luck. Once I got the drill bit pushed in I could not turn the key at all past the ACC position. Now what? Can I drill out the tumbler to get it out? This is the first time I have ever had any trouble getting one of these out.
Suggest a liberal application of WD-40 into and around the tumbler assy. Rotate key/tumbler assy more than a few times to get the lube everywhere. Also note that the link says to put the key into the acc position , insert pin, paper clip etc...and then turn key PAST acc position (CCW). Then pull tumbler assy out.
