Everyone keeps telling me the keys on my '67 are messed up. The square key operates the door and ignition, and the round one operates the trunk and glovebox. Is this correct?

On my '72 EC it's the same, square for door and ignition, round for glove box.

or was it trunk and glove box?

been awhile since I sold the 67

Anyway I thought they were different than later years.

My Chevrolet parts book shows 'octagon' for ignition and door lock, 'round' for everything else. Your keys are correct. Up to 67 had 'octagon' headed ignition key, 68 had 'hexagon' headed ignition key, and 69 and up had 'square' headed ignition key.
