Not sure where this question would be best posted, if moderators want to move it to another area that's fine. Curious if anyone recognizes this pair of hubcaps I have had hanging in my garage for longer than I can remember. Not at all sure just where I acquired them from. Most likely got them at yard/garage sales or swap meets. Have looked on Ebay, a hubcap website, Googled them and several other attempts but no luck. Found some similar with the same center cross flags emblem but has three separate bars radiating out from the center. Nothing like these with the black painted sections. Did not think to

measure the diameter, not sure if for 14'' or 15'' wheels.

Thanks for the info. Probably be rather hard and pricey to find a nice set. Guess will leave them as garage wall hangers.

I THINK, repeat, I THINK 60-62 are the same,
The early Corvette guys who have cars with the HD brake option, OR, want to have that plain jane look, would jump on them!
The HD brake option was not available until 57, which came with wider wheels and ONLY dog dish caps would fit those wheels. I have added HD brakes to my 56, plus 56 dog dish caps.

Here is my 56 with 56 dogdish caps, and a 61 with the caps in your picture.

Love those early 'Vettes Tom ! I'd take one of those any day of the week over the new C8s. They may not perform like the newer C8s but sure do have way more looks n class. Any idea what those caps would bring price wise? I did mount one today and it fit just fine on a stock 15 x 7 steel wheel. Would be cool to find a full set of the ones on the left of the pic. Think I like that style a bit better than the one on the right.

61 and 62 passenger cars used different dog dishes for the 14 inch wheels. But the 61 and 62 Corvettes continued to use the 1960 dishes with the widebase wheels.

For a person who REALLY is looking for a set of dogdish caps, it's USUALLY cheaper to locate and buy 1-2. A full set at one time will bring a premium price. To the right buyer, you should be able to get $25-50. Present a price and if it is to much for the buyer, ask what he would be willing to give..
For the dogdish caps on our 56 Vette, I picked them 1-2 at a time at swap meets. The 55 and 56 caps are 100% identical, EXCEPT the ring around the Bowties on 55 caps is white and 56 is black. I CAREFULLY spray black in the ring, let it dry until tacky and then VERY carefully use a rag with lacquer thinner and wipe off the over spray. It LOOKS LIKE your caps can be cleaned up real good with an SOS pad, and then painted as I did.

I have 58 dog dish caps on my 67 Belair, which look very close to the caps in this thread. I really like the look and I don't think mags or chrome would look good on my car because it's a 4 door sedan.
