I think I have posi. It says on info I looked up I do. I jacked it up turned the wheel. One goes on way one goes the other so m stumped.

Then you either have a very worn out posi carrier or an open differential.

Can one wheel be HELD still while the other wheel is turned? If so it is an open Rear End...

Could just be worn out clutch plates. You need to remove the cover and look at it.

My Eaton TruTrac does that, (wheels turn opposite), and it's a true posi.

But I doubt you have a TruTrac in there.

Like everyone else said, just pull the cover.
