Damn Dad,
Gave me a headache trying to look at all that!

Suggest you just replace all the fuses and see!

Also, you may want to try and unplug one connection at a time from the switch and see how it reacts. This can lead you to believe if you actually have a switch problem or a wiring problem.

Good luck, electrical stuff sucks!

You may have more than one problem. However, if the 64 Elky is the same as the 64 Malibu, it has a poor dash grounding scheme. If you look or feel, you will see a copper strip behind the dash. This strip goes from the instrument cluster, the ignition switch, cigarette lighter and to the radio. If the radio is not in or one side of this copper strip is loose, the instrument cluster lacks a ground. There is no separate ground wire for the fuel gage. It gets its ground through its case, via the cluster and this copper strip.
Suggest first you add a ground strap from the back of the cluster frame to the car frame under the dash. See if that stops the wagging fuel gage and clears up a couple of things.

not an anomaly if "console" means Left Turn
indicator on dash

Right Blinker ON:
· “Front Left(Dim)- Right(Strong) , Rear Left(Dim)- Right(Strong) & Console Left Directional ” Blinking as well as the gas gauge needle waging.
Backup lights(Put in reverse):

sounds to me like maybe there is a bad ground in one or both of the two right side sockets

Engine ON - Key in ON Position:
Left Blinker ON:
· “Front Left, Rear Left & Console Left Directional ” Blinking.

Again, not an anomaly

Right Blinker ON:
· “Front Left(Dim)- Right(Strong) , Rear Left(Dim)- Right(Strong) & Console Left Directional ” Blinking as well as the gas gauge needle waging.

· Nothing

Parking Lights:

Oh heck, this is getting to confusing for me, I'll let someone else answer the rest of the questions
I think you may have more than one problem such as bad grounds at the light sockets plus a bad turn signal switch and maybe also no power to the back up lights

Engine ON - Key in ON Position Parking lights ON, Headlights ON:
Left Blinker ON:
· “Front Left, Rear Left & Console Left Directional ” Blinking.
Right Blinker ON:
· “Front Left(Dim)- Right(Strong) , Rear Left(Dim)- Right(Strong) & Console Left Directional ” Blinking as well as the gas gauge needle waging.

I am with you, Bill C., John_Muha and Dean.

I rather take a “Woopen”, then work on wiring..

When My Mom was Mad at Me, She would Lecture and Nag at Me.
I would tell her, Mom – Mom, just give Me a “Woopen”, I can not take this anymore!!
She is your Mom and I would never be disrespectful to her, by yelling back..
I just go get the belt and bend over, She could never hit me because, I was over 6Foot Tall at 16 and She was laughing so hard.

I would love to hand her the belt one more time, but I can’t. I go visit her grave every time I am in New Orleans.

She had three Sons and No - Daughters. We treated her like a queen.

She had to learn how to:
· Throw a baseball, when my Dad worked late
· Understand a Males mind.
· Walk away when we fought between each other.
· Hold back her emotions, when we came home with broken bones.
· Cook like a short order cook, for three growing(All over 6’4”) Boys.
· I will leave the rest for you all to fill in..
