Calling all 71 72 454 ss chevelles. I need your ride height specs. Dead center of the wheel to the bottom of the rear fender well. and also how far does your front bucket seats come to the ceiling of the car. Here are mine,,,,,, 10" inches from the top of the drivers headest to the headliner. And 14" from the center of the wheel to the bottom lip of the wheel well. let me know. I`m trying to decide whether the ride height is off and the seats are original. Thxs Paul.

I just went out and measured. Keep in mind that my suspension is original and sags but I'll tell you anyway. Passenger side is 15" front and rear, driver is 14" front and rear. The top of the headrest it 10" from the headliner.

Do you sit pretty high in the seat? Mine have been redone and it seems like I`m pretty high in the saddle but that could be beacuse like some have said the foam and springs are new.. My front tires are wider and shorter then the rears. The rears are taller/skinnier which makes the car look taller in the back .I think If I go with a lower profile tire it would make all the difference in the world. Thxs For the input paul.

I acually sit pretty low, but take into account how tall you are. I'm 5'9 and I sit a little low. Like I said thoug I am in need of a new suspension, as you can tell by the measurments on the sides so i am probably not the best source for you.

Check the assembly manual. I believe those specs are in there for the 68's. It might be in the 71 or 72 books also.
