I need serious help - Temp sensor & TCS?

I'm almost finished with my restoration however my tech and I cannot figure out the following dilemma:

There is one green wire coming from the dash that should go to the driver side temp sensor. However, the temp sensor (original?) is a two prong not a single prong. I have spent hours researching and everything I read seems to talk about TCS and a second temp sensor that is supposed to be on the passenger side but there isn't one.

How do you know if TCS was really part of the original setup or if someone just put a 2 prong sensor in-place of a single prong?

All the wiring and relays from the transmission to the firewall are connected. No open connectors available. What are we missing?

Is there anyone with first hand knowledge on this?

Thank you for your help.

You should have a single 20 gauge DG (Dark Green Wire) with a single connector from the drivers side of the Fuse Panel Connector on the Firewall that goes to the engine Temperature Switch with a Double Terminal. Another DG Wire continues from the Temperature Switch to a 2 Connector Terminal Junction for the TCS Relay (Transmission Control Switch) and connects using a single terminal. From that Terminal yet another 20G DG wire should go to the TCS Plug Connector which should have that DG Wire plus R/DBL/P Wire from the Psgr Side of the Fuse Panel and a DBL wire to the TCS Solenoid. Another B wire runs from the TCS Solenoid to the Transmission Switch. The other Wire on the Transmission Switch should be Orange and goes to the Psgr Side of the Fuse Panel.

This is for a 71 Camaro but I believe the Chevelle is the same.
