Well, I finally found something that I'd be VERY happy with and put a down payment (it's still being sent off for painting). A 68 malibu, fresh black interior with maybe early camaro buckets and a center console shifter. 327/350hp 68 block (not factory but a correct engine) with a th350 trans (2200 stall). I was planning on buying an SS from this guy but he wanted 1/2 of what I paid for this malibu for just the body (not even handles or locks!). Its a VERY solid car too. I was planning on spending $17000 on fully finishing that SS but I've found such a great car that I just had to share it with everyone!

Well done! I'm almost sold on a 72 Chevelle with a newly rebuilt 350 small block; I think I'm going to give the dealer a down payment on Monday. This is the first time I've ever bought a car, so I'm balking -- but it's a beaut, runs smooth and clean and the guy'll warranty the engine for a year, so I think this is the one. Hope mine turns out as well as yours! Congrats!

Way to go Joe! What are your plans for this ride? Maybe a blower poking thru the hood or how about some fogger squeeze? Congrats again...post some pics after the body is done. Have fun!

Plans for this car are going to be a little off in the future. I'd like a 383 with 400-500hp and a m22 4 speed. Also, long spindle disk brakes. I'm probably going to go and take some pictures of it in a few days and I'll try to get them posted soon! Thanks!
