Anybody have any idea why a trans would decide to suddenly start slipping on the freeway to the point where 4500rpm was necessary to keep it in gear?

I'm kinda wondering if the douchebag that put the trans in my car didn't fill the torque converter or it was under or over filled? Given all the other problems I've had since I wouldn't be surprised.

The other thing I can think of is that it was a bad rebuild?

is your vacuum modulator hooked up?
It was, possible the hose came loose?

Yeah I'm 'bout ready to take it in, Can somebody give me his number in case it's needed? I want the thing to shift firm but be dead-reliable... I shouldn't be taxing it with like 120 thundering horsepower. LOL

is it a used tranny? just pull the pan and replace the filter!
It was a fresh rebuild, we popped the pan before I bought it and it was IMMACULATE inside. No signs of debris or anything. It was nice and tight for about a month and then it's been gradually getting worse and worse.

When I pop the pan to empty it (stock pan no drain) I'll check out the filter for bad news.

Did you ever get anywhere with the guy who sold it/installed it?
Guy who sold it was straight up, Guy who installed it? I gave up. There were a lot of things I did wrong and numero uno was the under the table deal. He screwed me but since there are no papers...

I've been guesstimating the fluid level because I've been putting off slipping the new tube in, as I've been putting off putting the drums on and putting off installing the motor mounts and fixing the exhaust, oh and it needs a tune job too. I'm the abuser in a bad relationship with this car...
