I purchased the Hurst shifter kit with Muncie handle that Ground Up sells for my '69 SS project. As far as I can tell it does not have a provision for the factory backdrive rod (which I have). Has anyone used this with the backdrive? What's available?
I was thinking about getting a piece waterjetted if there is nothing available.
Your thoughts welcome?

Thanks Bill.
I don't have my shifter at my disposal at this moment. So, I went to the catalogs to get these 2 images for comparison. It looks to me like the Hurst arm, if you are referring to using the upper two holes, requires a different direction of throw because it is (relative to the pictures) above the shift shaft axis and the Muncie is below. That's what was confusing me.

The Hurst shifter arm in your pic is the correct one. You are right, the axis on your muncie arm is different than the Hurst. Just bolt the reverse arm so the arm faces down. The rectangular hole is of course for the bolt to trans, the middle hole is for the shifter rev rod, and the remaining hole is for the reverse lock-out. It is set up differently than the Muncie arm, but it works.
