The hardest part is figuring out where on your dash you wanna bolt it. There shoudl be four wires. White, Green, Red , and Black

Black goes to ground.

Red goes to a constant power source.

White goes to something that gets power when the headlights are on. (Read: Headlight switch
(this wire is really just a hookup for the light behind the tach so you can see it at night.

Green plugs into the distributor....at least if you have a big HEI. It's freakin easy, there is a terminal on the cap that says "tach"

I just hooked up a Mallory tach last weekend and it was very easy. The hardest paat was getting the super skinny wires to stay in the connectors. I originally tried to hang it under the dash pad, but it didn't want to stay,
so it got mounted on the steering column.

If you have a points type distributor, the green goes to the '-'side on the coil.

I plugged the white wire into a terminal marked LPS at my fuse panel.
