Has anyone disassembled a deluxe seatbelt buckle ? I'm sure there is a trick, but I have not figured it out. Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, I think we'd better clarify what you mean by 'Deluxe'. In original GMspeak, this meant the female buckles that had the appearance of brushed stainless steel.

If that's what you mean, then yes, I've done it. No special tricks. Without one in front of me, I can't be really specific, but as best as I can recall, you just pry out on one end with a small screwdriver and it will come apart.

The cover just pries off with a screwdriver, there is no real trick to it, just alot of prying.

Bill & Mat,

Yes, I am referring to the brushed stainless female buckles. I will again attempt to remove/pry off the cover.
Thanks for the replies.
